Development Environergy Services Ltd. (DESL) (An ISO 9001 : 2015 certified company) is a 100% subsidiary of Paris based Veolia Environnement Ingénierie Conseil (VEIC), a member of the French MNC, Veolia, one of the world’s largest environment and energy services business groups.

Since the launch of the business in 1999, DESL has continuously re-invented itself as a differentiated service provider through introduction of new technology, innovative business processes and development of a sustainable market for energy efficiency and renewable energy services in India and across the globe.

Since its inception, DESL has delivered 4 shared savings and 32 guaranteed savings performance contract projects leading to savings of about INR 1,200 million worth of energy annually for its clients. Additionally, over 3,000 energy audits have been performed to assist clients undertake such energy savings implementation measures directly. These assignments are estimated to have led to savings equivalent to about 300 MW of energy generation.

The business was launched in the year 1999, as a business division of the New Delhi based DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd. (DSCL). In December 2009; DESL became a part of Dalkia India Pvt Ltd (a member of Veolia Environnement), and subsequently in March 2012, as part of the organizational re-structuring, it became a part of VEIC, the holding company of consulting businesses in the VE.

DESL is attached to the Veolia Group through the VEIC; which consolidates almost all the consulting services in the group. DESL became part of VEIC in March 2012.
